Eastern Economic and Security Summit which held in Enugu State Government House on December 22, 2016. The theme of the summit was “Re positioning the Eastern for National Rebirth. The summit brought about the establishment of the Eastern Region Project Planning (ERPC) – ERPC. It will serve as a robust platform to drive sustainable economic growth and social development as well as enhancement of security in the South-East region. It will serve to support think-tanks for development strategies, mobilization of resources and coordination of policies involving all the critical stakeholders (Federal, State, Local Government, Communities and the Private Sector) for collaboration. Additional role will include advising the Eastern governments on strategies for creating conducive environment to attract and retain needed investment and investors.
